O

pen and welcoming. This is what this house was and is. In the 1960s, kids from the neighbourhood came here willingly in great numbers. There was always something good to eat in the kitchen and the smiling mother of Ania, Zbyszek and Leszek.

Janka, mother of Anna, the current owner of the house, was always cordial, open to people. She loved children and flowers; wishing everyone well. Every year she organized Christmas parties for her large family, making preparations for many days.

The biggest party that these walls remember is the wedding of Anna and Tadeusz, who moved for his future wife from the other end of Poland. The life of the young couple in the 1980s was modest, but at the same time full of get-togethers, home parties and neighbourhood generosity.

The nineties are a new era in the history of the house. A clothing warehouse called Zamorski, ran by Tadeusz and Anna, appeared on the ground floor. Why are we mentioning this? Because at that time relationships were important and the client’s needs always came first. We still have close contact with many people we met during that period.

Meanwhile, the next generation has grown up. The grandson of Janina and Zdzisław designed a project to expand the house so that it could be even more open and welcoming. The realization of the project required determination and the commitment of the whole family, because the reconstruction of the building was quite a challenge.

With great joy, in 2021, we started a new chapter in the history of the house at 37 Lokietka Street! We opened the door to Zamorski By The Sea and would like to welcome you. We want to share the atmosphere of this place and we are curious about your own Sopot history.
